One of the most dangerous breed of demons are the Ryth. They cloak themselves in shadow, they dim the luminescence of their eyes to fade into the darkness. Their breath is corrosive, and their bite is lethal.
The young are far less dangerous, but they still command respect from all who are familiar with them.
These demons answer only to one person, and one person alone; D'en Jal Hyl, heir to the Jal Hyl dynasty. To be gifted one of these demons is a tremendous gesture of favour; a sign of acknowledgment and approval.
This is the Ryth's raw form. A mass of energized gems, all that is needed is a soul spark for it to grow.
Essence
Once a soul spark enters the crystalline form, the crystal shatters as the demon takes on a more incoporeal form. This is the demon at its most vulnerable; when presented to Viscasi, she may add other items to influence the adult form.
Adult
The true form of the Ryth is revealed; they will then take on male or female forms. This is usually the final stage of their evolution.
Elder
Very few demons make it to this form. While the adult stage is actually quite common, this form of the Ryth are the most prestigeous and shows the amount of acknowledgement from D'en.
