A wonder of a fluke by Ariya. Her constant attempts at summoning has finally born fruit. The Shyra are, at first glance, adorably innocent and helpless; open, bright, friendly and always ready for a snuggle. Balanced on their disproportionally large hind legs, their forepaws are teeny and close to useless, save for gripping items to submit to their endless curiosity.
However, their use must not be ignored. Their powerful legs propel them at a speed almost unimaginable, using their large tails as counterbalance as they skillfully navigate around obstacles. And what they can't avoid, they leap over.
When faced with an opponent, they too cannot be underestimated. The bulb on the end of their muscular tails can smash and splinter bone, while their sharp claws can rip apart the toughest hide.
So perhaps it's best to get on its good side, snuggler and all.
They come in 4 particular stages shown as the following;
This is the Shyra's raw form. A mass of energized gems, all that is needed is a soul spark for it to grow.
Essence
Once a soul spark enters the crystalline form, the crystal shatters as the demon takes on a more incoporeal form. This is the demon at its most vulnerable; when presented to Viscasi, she may add other items to influence the adult form.
Adult
The true form of the Shyra is revealed; they will then take on male or female forms. This is usually the final stage of their evolution.
Elder
Usually a favour bestowed by a War Lord to his most trusted messangers and diplomats; these demons are intelligent and are much more welcome than the aggressors that the other breeds display. Their battle-prowess also doubles up well as guardians.
